NCDA Statement Regarding School Shooting in Uvalde

The National Career Development Association (NCDA) is saddened to learn about the mass shooting and loss of innocent lives in Uvalde, TX.  The NCDA board and members extend our sorrow to the families, educators, and the entire community as they grieve this unfortunate tragedy.

As an association of 6000+ career development professionals, we know these tragedies have lifelong consequences.  We encourage our community to reach out to provide support, guidance, and hope for those who face a difficult transition in the future.

NCDA’s parent organization, the American Counseling Association provides the following statement and resources for assistance.

“ACA provides resources to educate counselors and stay vigilant during these horrific times on our website Gun Violence Trauma Resources.  Resources for counselors and the public to help address all the ripple effects that trauma has on our collective well-being when violence like this occurs can be found at Resources for Counselors and Clients.”

NCDA provides K-12 resources at Career Convergence Magazine and Schools Constituency Group.
