Submit for Recertification
After holding a credential for three years, you will receive an email saying your NCDA credential is up for the three-year recertification. To recertify your credential, please note the following:
- Complete your continuing education log, showing evidence of completing 30 contact hours in the past three years as stated in the Continuing Education Manual.. You are not required to provide documentation unless you are selected for an audit by the NCDA Credentialing Commission Audit Panel. A random 10% of all credential holders will be audited each month. You will be contacted via email if you are selected for a random audit.
- Submit payment of the $100 recertification fee. This fee covers the next three years of annual maintenance fees. Nothing more is needed for another three years.
- You have 60 days from expiration date to submit for recertification.
- If you elect to not recertify your credential, please refrain from using it on your promotional materials and discontinue the use of the credential logo. Please contact NCDA for the Inactive Status form. NCDA will keep records of when you were awarded the credential and when it lapsed.
